Trail Ridge Road, the scenic route that takes visitors through Rocky Mountain National Park, is opening for the season Thursday. The road historically opens Memorial Day, although snowplowing operations can lead to earlier or later openings. This year, the park was also in the middle of adjusting to the coronavirus outbreak.
