The New Deliverance Evangelistic Church Former police officer and bishop Gerald Glenn, of New Deliverance Evangelistic Church, was a pillar to his Virginia community. The 66-year-old pastor died on April 11 from the coronavirus, weeks after the last in-person service at the church he and his wife had founded. Glenn's daughter, who also suffered from the coronavirus, told Insider that her dad's death has devastated the congregation, but also sent a message to take the illness seriously.
