Kelli O'Hara and Renee Fleming to star in Metropolitan Opera's production of 'The Hours'

By Brandy McDonnellNEW YORK, New York - Oklahoma native and Tony Award winner Kelli O'Hara will star with four-time Grammy-winning soprano Renee Fleming in an opera based on Michael Cunningham’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel "The Hours," according to Broadway.com. Kevin Puts, who earned a 2012 Pulitzer Prize for his debut opera "Silent Night," composed the new work, intended to debut at the Metropolitan Opera in fall 2022, Broadway.com reports, citing a recent interview with Fleming in The New York Times.According to Playbill, "The Hours" also comes from librettist Greg Pierce ("Slowgirl") as a co-commission from the Metropolitan Opera and the Philadelphia Orchestra.Read more on NewsOK.com
