After winning an Oscar for 2001's Monster's Ball, Halle Berry very quickly started headlining movies. And though she was no stranger to playing comic book superheroes -- having portrayed Storm in X-Men and X2: X-Men United -- it was still a huge deal for the actress to leap to the screen in a standalone Catwoman movie. Of course, 2004's Catwoman was a massive misfire that many fans still consider one of the worst comic book adaptations of all time (if it can be called that considering how much was changed).
