Altitude-Comcast lawsuit: Federal judge deems anticompetitive claim “plausible” in partially denying motion to dismiss

The legal dispute between Comcast and Altitude TV, blacking out local Avalanche and Nuggets games on the state’s largest cable provider, will continue after a federal judge partially denied Comcast’s motion to dismiss the case. Altitude, a Kroenke-owned independent regional sports network, argues that Comcast has negotiated with illegal business tactics that “make no economic sense” in a plot to buy or eliminate the RSN after their contract expired in September 2019.
