Virtual city council meetings may not end in Colorado when COVID does

It was March 2020, and things were quickly going sideways for Avon Town Manager Eric Heil. The trouble for the mountain town near Vail wasn’t simply rising COVID-19 case counts, but at the moment, a rapid proliferation of obscene hand-drawn images on the computer screens of those attending the town council’s first remote meeting on Zoom. “My head was spinning,” Heil said of the hacking incident that also peppered the proceedings with profane and racist commentary.
