Remember the grand vision Broncos general manager George Paton and coach Vic Fangio had about having a defense with the talent and depth to lead a franchise revival after five consecutive non-playoff seasons? That defense played exactly zero snaps together. Unavailable when the Broncos host the New York Jets on Sunday will be cornerback Ronald Darby (hamstring, out at least two more games), outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (ankle, out 6-8 weeks following Wednesday’s surgery) and inside linebacker Josey Jewell (pectoral, season-ending surgery on Thursday). Yes, the Broncos are undefeated (2-0) and rank among the top five in the fewest points and yards allowed.
