DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis (6-1, 3-1 Big Sky) hosted the University of Northern Colorado (2-5, 1-3 Big Sky) for a conference matchup on Saturday and controlled the game from start to finish. The Bears needed a win if it wanted to finish the season above .500, but offensive failures and play calling problems hindered all of the defensive efforts, including two interceptions, earlier in the game. Northern Colorado recorded fewer than 250 yards of total offense and committed eight penalties for a loss of 62 yards. UNC’s defense held the Aggies to under their season average, but it ran out of steam after spending 14 drives on the field.
