The development firm that recently purchased the Bonnie Brae Tavern and original Cherry Cricket properties is thinking big in the Golden Triangle. Denver-based Alpine Investments, in conjunction with New Jersey-based Ironstate Development, wants to build a 23-story, 285-unit apartment building at the northwest corner of 11th Avenue and Cherokee St. The 250-foot-tall structure would be one of a handful of projects, along with two being planned by Denver-based Urban Villages, to take advantage of the new maximum height included in new zoning for the neighborhood that city leaders approved last summer.
