‘Spoiler Alert’ Shows Promise as Awards Movies Flounder

“Spoiler Alert” (Universal), based on Michael Ausiello’s poignant memoir, debuted in six theaters (San Francisco, along with New York and Los Angeles) and provided a spark for the specialized market.
