Cook's Lady Hilltoppers Turn Back Falcons

CHURCH HILL — Laura Hooks Cook, Science Hill’s first-year volleyball coach, said Tuesday night’s win over Volunteer is an example of the fight that can be expected whenever Big 6 Conference teams take the court. The Lady Hilltoppers (2-1, 2-1) looked like they would make a short night of it, opening with a 25-14 victory, but their wins in the subsequent sets, 25-22, 25-23, were battles throughout. “Whoever outhustles the other team will get the point, but that just makes it more fun,” Cook noted.
