ALBUQUERQUE –– Though the Colorado State football team let New Mexico hang around on the scoreboard for longer than desired, it wasn’t as if the lowly Lobos ever appeared to stand a chance on Saturday evening at University Stadium. Despite owning a misleading six-point edge at halftime, coach Steve Addazio’s squad dominated UNM on both sides of the ball from start to finish in front of Albuquerque’s sparse crowd. And considering how CSU’s lack of first-half offensive production across midfield inhibited the Rams from settling the outcome early, the Rams’ downright demoralizing defense undoubtedly stole the show throughout their 36-7 victory. “I thought our defense had a great week of preparation,” Addazio said.
