As beverage makers phase out plastic six-pack rings, this packaging company offers a new paperboard solution. Beverage brands have been trying to develop sustainable, cardboard multi-pack packaging for years now. But like the ill-fated paper straw, these paperboard packs tend to face a functionality problem: they disintegrate too quickly when exposed to liquid (which, no surprise, tends to happen often).
