The Eviva Midtown building, featuring ground floor retail and five stories of upscale apartments at the corner of 16th and N streets, broke ground Thursday. It will be made of prefabricated units manufactured at McClellan Park in a former Air Force hangar. The units arrive by truck nearly complete – right down to the toilets, floor coverings and kitchen cabinets – and are hoisted and stacked by crane. Workers assemble modular apartment units being built by Zeta Communities at McClellan Park on Thursday.
