BOSTON (AP) — The Dalai Lama was to continue his round of appearances in Boston, with speaking engagements at a downtown hotel and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that are expected to draw protests from a group accusing him of human rights abuses and discrimination. The Tibetan spiritual leader was scheduled to speak Friday morning at the Boston Marriott Copley Place hotel at a symposium organized by the Mind and Life Institute, a nonprofit organization that is focused on how scientific research and Buddhist teachings can provide insights into the human mind and condition.
