From the moment Cory Metz began lacrosse on the youth level, it was clear he had the ability to succeed. And, when he made a position change as a freshman starter at Dallas, it was immediately evident that he had found a new home. Metz settled in to the attack position to become one of the Wyoming Valley Conference’s top scoring threats over the past three years, culminating in his selection as the Times Leader Boys Lacrosse Player of the Year. As one of just two players back from last year’s first team Times Leader all-stars, Metz lived up to expectations. “He was a huge offensive catalyst for our team this year,” first-year Dallas coach Jared Hunt said.
