Jon Bernthal has spent the last day or so teasing us with his inspiration for The Punisher, who will appear on the second season of Daredevil.Bernthal is reading works such as the 2010 issue of Punisher MAX in which Frank Castle reflects on his family from solitary confinement during a prison riot as well as 1986’s Punisher: Circle of Blood, where The Punisher is sprung from Rykers prison by the Trust, a citizens organization whose purpose is to make America great by brainwashing criminals and making them part of their "Punishment Squad".
