The Kon Marie method ("does it spark joy?") offers a self-medication regime for middle class people with undiagnosed anxiety disorders and too much stuff. And now there's an official store, complete with $86 candles, to consume your way to minimalism. In a letter posted on the site, Ms Kondo said her tidying method "isn't about getting rid of things". Instead, she wrote: "It's about heightening your sensitivity to what brings you joy. "Once you've completed your tidying, there is room to welcome meaningful objects, people and experiences into your life." BUY.
