Deer Creek Student One Of Four Pending Oklahoma Swine Flu Cases

With one case of swine flu confirmed in Pontotoc County, Deer Creek Public School officials in Oklahoma County have confirmed a student there is one of four pending cases whose samples have been sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for confirmation. State health officials are not releasing the locations of the other pending cases. In a posting on the Deer Creek School District Web site, school officials say they have been advised by the Oklahoma County Health Department not to close school but to continue to monitor student health there. “We are in close contact with the Health Department to ensure as best possible the wellness of our students and staff,” the Web posting said.Read more on NewsOK.com
