Denver Police Officer's Gun, Badge Stolen From Car

(AP) — Authorities say a handgun and police badge were stolen from a Denver police officer's personal car parked outside the officer's home in Jefferson County. The theft prompted officials to caution residents that if they encounter someone they suspect is impersonating an officer, they should drive to a well-lighted area and call 911 to confirm the officer's authenticity.
