The Distance Nasa Travelled Over 48 Years

Bolden really seems to have no sense of national pride. No notion that America is an extraordinary country and that we can do extraordinary things. Bolden goes on to explain that the U.S. alone could never go to Mars, as if it were just obvious a half century ago that we could go to the moon.

  • Voyager
    Voyager 1 is in "Interstellar space" and Voyager 2 is currently in the "Heliosheath" -- the outermost layer of the heliosphere where the solar wind is slowed by the pressure of interstellar gas. In the NASA Eyes on the Solar System app, you can see the real spacecraft trajectories of the Voyagers, which are updated every five minutes.
