With an average of $5,695 per screen, Dragon Ball Super: Broly had the biggest opening for an event film and was the 5th highest anime opening of all time. The film's first day earnings also set the opening day record for Funimation Films, beating out the $1.97 million Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' earned in 2015 on its first day. “Both anime and mainstream audience response to ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly’ has been overwhelmingly positive.
