Lake Tapps on the King and Pierce County line is starting to refill after a project to repair the lake's aging dam drained the lake, exposing an unusual landscape in recent months. Rumors of parts of an old train emerging from the lowered lake drew a seattlepi.com photographer. The rumored train parts were not found, but what was found on the bottom included boat motors, clothes, a forgotten forest, red party cups and what may be the entire history of the aluminum beer can.
