Eager Southeast Texas Voters Head To The Polls

The economy has not grown fast enough in the past eight years, according to Theiss, and government regulations and taxes are stifling job creation. Neither presidential candidate would have been his ideal choice, but Theiss said voting is both a right and privilege all Americans should take seriously. Theiss at the Rogers Park Recreation Center said he voted for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who held a narrow 3 percentage-point lead over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in Texas, according to a CBS News poll released Sunday.
