Italian artist Edoardo Tresoldi unveiled his largest installation yet at this year’s Coachella, an annual music festival in Indio, California that just wrapped up festivities yesterday. Built in the image of Neoclassical and Baroque architecture, “Etherea” comprises three massive site-specific wire mesh structures constructed to allow glimpses of the sky and California landscape to pass through and become one with the piece. Built entirely of wire mesh, Etherea consists of three visually identical structures that vary only in size, measuring 36, 54, and 72 feet in height.
