SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — A state commission is investigating a complaint that the adult film industry received foreign donations in its fight against a November ballot measure that would require condoms in porn films. The Sacramento Bee (http://bit.ly/2dy9rCX) reports Friday that the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which has been the prime sponsor behind Proposition 60, filed the complaint with the Fair Political Practices Commission. It alleges that the "No on Proposition 60" committee run by the porn industry accepted $75,000 in foreign contributions from seven shell companies whose controlling entity is Global Personals Ltd., which is based in the United Kingdom. Mike Stabile, the No on 60 spokesman, said the complaint is mistaken, and the money actually comes from a completely different company, Global Personals LLC, which is based in Miami. The Bee could not immediately verify whether or how the companies are related, but both said they offer online dating sites and were founded in 2003.Read more on NewsOK.com
