With millions of Floridians struggling with finances, the state issued a moratorium on evictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gov. Ron DeSantis lifted that in favor of a moratorium from the Centers for Disease Control in October. But the federal measure has loopholes that's led to a surge in eviction, and the floodgates will really open when it expires Dec.
