(By Jim Morrill, jmorrill@charlotteobserver.com) Former Mecklenburg Sheriff Jim Pendergraph's four-word description of a candidate who wants his old job has revived an old controversy in Democratic party politics.In an e-mail, Pendergraph called Democrat Antoine Ensley "a Nick Mackey clone" - a reference to the candidate who beat now-Sheriff Chipp Bailey in a special local party election, only to have the results thrown out later.
