Texas A&M Agrilife Extension reports it’s a whole other world downstate when it comes to precipitation as winter turns to spring. While the National Weather Service reports its Amarillo office is fairly normal so far this year on precipitation, about 2 inches, the past four years of drought still have much of the region wishing for rain.
