I see London, I see France, I see a new exhibit in Denver where you can see lots of underpants.
This Friday, the Center for Colorado Women’s History (1310 Bannock St., Denver) will debut a cheeky new show exploring the evolution of female undergarments.
The exhibit, entitled “Rumors of Bloomers,” is not simply about fashion.
Colorado lawmakers have scaled back their reform plan for the Regional Transportation District, but they’re still aiming to significantly alter the size and composition of its governing board.
The backers of the draft legislation also are motivated by a desire to bolster transparency within the sprawling metro Denver transit agency and to align its efforts with the state’s broader policy goals.
Easter egg hunts at Four Mile
Saturday-Sunday. Outside of the brunches and Bloody Marys — and don’t get us wrong, those are nice — kids tend to see Easter for its colorful activities as much as its religious significance. As with other holidays, you can find places to take free pictures with a costumed Easter Bunny (see Aurora’s Stanley Marketplace on Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31, with free music both days) and, perhaps most visibly, hunt for Easter eggs.
On Saturday, more than 30,000 eggs (up from 20,000 in 2023) will be hidden throughout Four Mile Historic Park, with hunts for different ages.
Between its sloping silhouette and stunning vistas, Red Rocks Amphitheatre hardly seems to change over the years.
That’s true in some ways. But ever-evolving rules — did you know it was BYOB until 1997? — constant upgrades, and a carousel of new bookings tell another story.
Most of us wouldn’t be expected to know every name on the venue’s 2024 calendar (which begins Saturday, March 30, with a show from Boogie T).
When Dick Monfort sat down at a downtown Denver restaurant earlier this week, his hunger extended beyond brunch.
“I want to win,” the longtime Colorado Rockies owner said.
His methods for accomplishing that goal remain a source of frustration for Rockies fans. Since posting back-to-back playoff berths for the first time in 2017-18, the franchise has spiraled, bottoming out with 103 losses last season.
Between the endless defeats, undying loyalty to decision-makers, Kris Bryant’s underwhelming impact, a lack of starting pitching and uncertainty over whether the games will be available on TV, Monfort remains a target for criticism as the Rockies open their season Thursday night at Arizona.
“My biggest problem is I hate losing, and it is hard to debate anybody when you are losing,” Monfort said.
Dear Amy: My two sons are not speaking to one another, after a fight that occurred during Christmas two years ago.
The result is that my granddaughters don’t like their uncle and aunt. The three girls are 11, 9, and 6.
While sleeping overnight at my house last weekend, I told my granddaughters that I love both of my sons equally.
