A beachgoer was left critically injured after he spent nearly an hour trapped in the waters off Rockaway Beach in Queens on Wednesday afternoon, officials said. The victim got caught in the waves about 2:40 p.m. near the Beach 67th Street boardwalk and remained there until FDNY divers pulled him out at 3:30 p.m.
