By Sarah Matott, Cañon City Daily Record It was still early in the day Wednesday, but movie crews for the Netflix film, “Our Souls at Night,” already were hard at work shooting a scene inside of Brady’s Garden and Spa Center. Owner Dean Brady said that film crews were at his business at 5:30 a.m. Brady said that Jane Fonda was present for the scene, but as to what was happening in it, he could not say. “The whole experience of it all has just been awesome,” Brady said. He said that movie crews approached him in August about using his store as a location for one of the scenes. All this week, film production crews have been making their presence known in Florence and in Cañon City. On Monday, film crews shut down business at the 2 Sisters Café in Florence for one scene, and Wednesday, they took over Brady’s Garden and Spa Center and the Humane Society of Fremont County in Cañon City. Despite shutting these places down for filming, none of the business owners seem to mind. Brady said the film’s production has taken care of everything.
