Fire At Colorado Springs Apartment Complex Destroys Carport, Several Cars

Colorado Springs police and fire departments responded to an afternoon structure fire at Baytown Drive and Jet Wing Drive in southeast Colorado Springs. Several vehicles and a carport at an apartment complex were engulfed in flames and destroyed. As of 2:20 p.m. the fire department was reporting on social media that the fire was under control. There were also minor fires reported on a nearby fence and on the ground. Smoke from the fire could be scene from all over town. - Check back at gazette.com for updates.
