Two homes were destroyed and another was badly damaged Saturday after a wildfire ripped through a section of unincorporated Solano County about seven miles north of Vacaville, according to the California Department of Fire and Forestry. The blaze was reported around 11 a.m. Saturday and grew to around 55 acres in size, fueled by winds that reached up to 30 miles per hour, said Cal Fire spokeswoman Lynne Tolmachoff. “That was a challenge for the fire fighters, how quickly it spread,” Tolmachoff said.
