First Lady Donates Books For Summer Reading

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — First Lady Carol Mead and a global children's publishing, education and media company have donated 500 books to Wyoming elementary schools through the 2015 Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge. Mead has participated as a Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge "Reading Ambassador" for five years. The program encourages children to read during the summer months. This year, books went to schools in Kemmerer, Sheridan and Ranchester.
