Bill Haywood, who stepped down from his post as CEO of Hawaii’s largest oil refinery to go back to consulting, said he thinks refinery owner Hawaii Independent Energy is well positioned for the future. “Hawaii Independent Energy is off to a great start and I really enjoyed working here,” Haywood, a former Tesoro executive who has years of experience in the refining industry, told PBN Tuesday in his first media interview since resigning from the company earlier this month.
