James Jones will continue his attempt to switch from outfielder to pitcher with the Texas Rangers.Jones, 30, has re-signed with the club, accepting a minor-league deal. Jones appeared in 136 games with Seattle as an outfielder in 2014-15 but hit only .238 with a .564 OPS. The Rangers acquired Jones in a six-player deal with the Mariners in November 2015.Jones, a left-hander, switched to pitching in 2016 and had Tommy John surgery during the season.
