Fox Withdraws From Comic-con Over Piracy Concerns

In a surprising move, 20th Century Fox has withdrawn from appearing at this July's San Diego Comic-Con. The studio was expected to promote the Assassin's Creed movie there, but they are said to be concerned any footage screened in Hall H would then leak online as happened last year with X-Men: Apocalypse. Fox reportedly "feels it cannot prevent the piracy of custom trailers and exclusive footage routinely screened for fans in attendance, an individual familiar with the decision told TheWrap.
