Franklinton Apartment Building Closed Because Of Crime Problems

A Franklinton apartment building was boarded up on Friday by city officials who had filed a complaint in Franklin County Environmental Court calling the property "a tenacious drug and crime haven with no owner oversight." The three-story building at 398-404 S. Central Ave., just south of Sullivant Avenue, has been the focus of a Columbus police investigation since January 2014, a response to complaints by the community and patrol officers, according to court documents.
