Attention, art lovers: Be sure to mark your calendars for Oct. 12 and Nov. 23. Those dates are when the first and second waves of tickets to the hotly anticipated “Mexican Modernism” exhibition at the Denver Art Museum will go on sale to the public, museum officials said today. The exhibition — fully titled “Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Mexican Modernism from the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection” — generated immediate buzz when it was announced in November 2019, with particular excitement for the works of Kahlo. “For the first time in Denver, more than 20 artworks by the famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, including paintings and drawings, will be on view,” museum officials said in a press statement.
