Fryeburg Man Arrested After Chase

Fryeburg police on Saturday arrested a local resident after a chase during which he jumped from the second story of his home on Harbor Road. Police said James Parmenter, 43, stopped his vehicle when he saw police as he was pulling into his driveway. He fled into his house and later jumped out the window. Additional Fryeburg officers were called to help, as well as deputies from the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, Bridgton Police Department, and a State Police K9 unit. Police said they found Parmenter in a crawl space under his house.
