A Fryeburg man wanted on several outstanding arrest warrants tried to elude police by jumping out of a second-floor window then hiding under his house before he was apprehended Saturday. Fryeburg Police said James Parmenter, 43, was stopped by Fryeburg Police at about 2 a.m. as he was pulling into his driveway on Harbor Road when he fled into his home and later jumped out a second-story window. Parmenter was facing outstanding arrest warrants for theft, possession of an illegal drug, attaching false registration plates, operating under suspension and negotiating a worthless instrument. Officers called in more police from the Fryeburg Police Department, Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, Bridgton Police Department and State Police.
