TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Gabby Giffords is busy. She's busy with therapy — many types of therapy, she says with a smile — as well as with yoga, running a national group that campaigns for tougher gun laws and advocating for women's safety. More than three years after she was shot in the head during an attack at a grocery store in Tucson that left six people dead and 13 wounded, Giffords, still partially paralyzed and with difficulty speaking, is not keeping quiet. "I'm still fighting to make the world a safer place, and you can too," Giffords said Tuesday at the YWCA of Tucson's Women's Leadership Conference, where she received an award for being a "change maker."
