Gala To Be A Celebration Of Locally Produced Food

KINGSPORT — Appalachian Sustainable Development will be hosting the fifth annual Farm to Fork Gala at MeadowView Marriott in Kingsport on June 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.ASD is a nonprofit organization that works with local farmers, food producers, forest landowners and families to promote local food culture in 15 counties in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.“We operate 10 different programs in three sectors: sustainable forestry, sustainable agriculture and food access,” ASD Director of Communications and Development Sylvia Crum said.The gala will celebrate ASD’s 20th year of serving this community.
