Two weeks ago, Angel Pagan stopped by manager Bruce Bochy’s office to lobby for an early return from a hamstring strain. Perhaps Pagan could sense in himself the potential for a memorable stretch. Since coming off the disabled list, he is 21-for-60 (.350) with 15 RBIs, one home run and 33 runs. The Giants’ 50-31 record midway through the season has outpaced the 2010, 2012 and 2014 World Series champions at this point in the schedule. [...] healthy after being limited by injuries much of his previous four years in San Francisco, Pagan was the Giants’ last position player to receive a day off. [...] the 34-year-old Puerto Rican pulled up between first and second after slapping an RBI single in San Francisco’s May 1 win over the Mets. The injury lingered, and 10 days removed from a two-week inactive stint, he landed on the disabled list. After a three-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento, Pagan was scheduled back in the lineup June 15 against the Brewers. In the bottom of the fourth, Pagan missed a Marcus Semien flyball at the warning track as Oakland’s shortstop reached third base on the error.
