Mary Fallin was absent as educators rallied at the state Capitol. “The governor had a prior scheduling commitment and was unable to attend,” said Alex Weintz, a Fallin spokesman. The governor was in private meetings in Oklahoma City, Weintz said, but he declined to be more specific. “The governor made it clear she was excited to have them at the Capitol,” her spokesman said.
