Shortly afterward, she began to receive notes of thanks from some of them expressing their own gratitude for her love and friendship over the years. Driskill said she didn't send her notes to get such responses but it did show her how gratitude helps connect people to each other and serves to remind one of the blessings in life — even in tough times. "Just being thankful, and having that in the forefront of your mind, it seems like complaining and grumbling are the opposite of gratitude," she said. The metro area woman's note-writing project was one of the ways she participated in her church's "Gratitude Challenge.Read more on NewsOK.com
