Group Seeks To Remove Confederate Memorial From Linn Park

The much-debated Confederate monument in Linn Park near Birmingham City Hall may soon come down if one advocacy group has its way. Frank Matthews with the Outcast Voters' League claims the monument is offensive to African Americans, according to a report from NBC 13. He said the monument was paid for by the Daughters of the Confederacy and erected in 1905.
