The conclusion of Week 8 marks the season’s halfway point for some teams and a true mark of how far they have to go to consider their season a success. So, no, nothing like the last Fall Classic at Wrigley Field.
The World Series returns to one of baseball’s iconic ballparks on Friday when the Cubs and Indians face off in Game 3 after splitting the first two nights in chilly Cleveland.
After missing the final two games of the Avalanche’s four-game road trip because of a groin muscle injury, Rene Bourque was back going full speed in practice this week and has been skating on the Carl Soderberg-centered third line, also with winger Blake Comeau.
“It was tough,” Bourque said of the injury after practice Thursday.
