CBS has turned to young, charismatic TV veteran Mehcad Brooks to play Jimmy Olsen in their new series, Supergirl. Brooks has appeared in shows like True Blood and Necessary Roughness, and will be the new face for Superman's pal. This version of the character will retain his usual occupation- photographer- but shift some things around to work for the timeline of the new show.For the series, which will be led by Melissa Benoist in the titular role, Olsen will be like the Lois to Kara's Clark.
